This is one of the most monumental weeks of the month, Scorpio. Saturn, the Planet of Challenge, finally ends its five-month retrograde in the sign of Capricorn on Thursday, September 6. Ever since April 2018, you may have had to deal with roadblocks when it came to manifesting your dreams with ease. You may also have felt a bit stuck in several aspects of your life, and you may have been going through an existential crisis as you navigated what your true goals are in life and why. This retrograde may have brought up some emotions that you’ve been avoiding or unaware of, and it may have also led to you also having more tense dynamics with people closest to you. As Saturn halts its rotation this week, you will start to notice the pressures ease up and life won’t feel as serious or challenging as it may have been. But there will still be a shadow period for multiple weeks, so pace yourself when it comes to beginning new initiatives. Since this week leads up to the New Moon in Virgo on Sunday the 9th, it’s actually better to spend Monday – Saturday cleaning house, finishing up past projects, and organizing your life rather than start anything new.
One day before Saturn Retrograde, on September 5, your co-ruler Pluto makes an alignment to Chiron, the Soul Healing asteroid, and you may find yourself extra emotional mid-week as a result of this. It’s essential for you to find some sort of outlet for the feelings that are bubbling up to the surface of your life. Work out, make love, create art, cry, take a bubble bath, vent to your therapist, journal… Just don’t let yourself keep your feelings bottled up or else you’ll explode. The Pluto-Chiron alignment will trigger you emotionally so that you can create better habits for yourself when it comes to setting healthy boundaries and not overextending yourself in relationships. Since Chiron is retrograde, you will clearly see where you tend to repeatedly allow yourself to get hurt in the name of love or loyalty. This may at first feel overwhelming, but as you take time to process how exhausting it is to constantly give, give and give, you’ll realize that it’s important for you to speak up and transform your closest unions for the better. You may also realize you need a little break from people, so feel free to ride solo this week and do your own thing.
On the 5th, Mercury, the Planet of Communication, enters Virgo for two weeks. Mercury rules Virgo, so when you combine that energy with the Sun in Virgo, you’ll be feeling very detail-oriented and perceptive. This will highlight your technology and social network sector, so you’ll continue to be selective and intentional in those areas of your life. Be careful with what image you project on social media this week. People will be paying attention to you, even if they don’t seem to be, and your actions at work and at home will be under scrutiny. There’s no need to micro-manage every little thing you do, but definitely take your time when crafting emails and responses to people so that you’re being presented in the best possible light. Mercury’s transit through Virgo will help you weed out the nonessentials in your career, social life, and social media presence so that you can focus on what matters most: being your authentic self.
A highlight of the week romantically takes place on Sunday, the same day as the Virgo New Moon. Venus, the Planet of Relationships, enters Scorpio for an extended stay (it will remain in our sign with a few on and off periods until early 2019). Venus being in your personality sector will lead to your magnetism and attraction meters increasing significantly. But since you are a sign of extremes, you may also feel a bit more territorial and jealous during this transit. It’s best to not be in denial of the more obsessive or emotional feelings that may emerge. Your partners will actually appreciate your honesty and transparency. If you’re single, this weekend is a great time to give yourself a makeover and go out to celebrate the New Moon magic. If you’re in a relationship, you may find that your union with your partner deepens and you are more passionately invested in the relationship. All eyes will be on you during Venus in Scorpio, so make the most of the attention and avoid playing too hard to get. You’re mysterious enough as it is!
And remember to set New Moon Intentions for Sunday’s powerful New Moon in Virgo. Think about where you’d like to be by the end of February 2019. If you dedicate yourself to your expansion and stop playing it safe, there’s so much you can bring to life with this potent New Moon energy. Venus in Scorpio will help you with your visualization exercises, but the Virgo energy can still lead to you being too self-critical and focused on potential failures. If you start to feel fear-based thoughts creeping up this Sunday, take time to think back on all the amazing things you’ve manifested in your life throughout the years. What were once just dreams and nuggets of ideas have become full-blown reality due to your perseverance, courage and dedication. So that’s the energy you must hold on to with this Virgo New Moon. You must also be willing to reach out to your network, spread your mission and vision on social media, and put yourself out there with greater confidence and conviction. Envision yourself as already having achieved your desired goal, rather than struggling to get there. You’ve made it through Saturn Retrograde, one of the most difficult transits of the year, and this New Moon is about planting fresh seeds and embracing your new beginning. Soar!
